In Karma? Fished my home lake this morning and picked up 4 fish between 7 and 8:30 and that was it till 9:30. There was a boat about 30 ft long anchored in the upper end of the lake and I heard them pulling the anchor. when I got closer I saw some one trying to paddle it towards a commercial dock about a half mile down the lake, nothing else around but river swamp. I trolled a little closer and the poor fella asked if I had an extra battery. Well I can't leave anyone in a bind so I trolled over and picked my rods up so I could come alongside. Unhooked the battery from my FF and swung it aboard. There was two couples on board that had traveled down the river system from Iowa.and we had an interesting conversation. They were headed to south Florida and had been traveling for 28 days. They asked how the fish were biting and I replied they weren't very good but maybe this good deed would turn them on for me. They cranked up, I retrieved my battery, they headed down the lake toward the river, and I put my poles back out and went back to fishing. Boy Howdey, for the next 45 minutes I caught fish, 8 nice keepers and that many shorts. The wind got up and the bite slowed and about that time a friend that was also fishing the area asked me what I was doing to catch those fish, he couldn't get a bite and only had 2 all morning. No explanation but I had enough fighting the wind and headed for the ramp. Sorry no pictures.

no matter what I'm doing there's always time to help someone on the water. That's a very helpless feeling being stranded. Nice reward for a good deed.

Before I sold my bass boat I always carried a pair of jumper cables and they have come in handy on more than one occasion
