    Default Enid Trip on 10/22 & 10/23

A couple of buddies and myself fished Enid on Saturday and Sunday. Had 2 good days. Saturday was more productive as far as numbers. We probably caught 40, but only managed 9 keepers. We threw back several that were 11 3/4", but struggled to find the big ones. We didn't get on the water till close to 10 a.m. and fished till around 5 p.m. We spent the day pushing minnows. This was one of my buddies first trips to Mississippi to try crappie fishing. I think he is hooked.

We fished Sunday and did better on the keeper to shorts ratio, but caught fewer fish. Again, we pushed minnows on Sunday. We never really picked up a pattern, just caught the fish scattered at different depths.
We had a great trip and I think my buddy may be addicted to spider rigging for crappie. We didn't manage any big fish, the best was about 14 1/2", but we caught enough to have a good fish fry. Ended the day with about 16 keepers on Sunday. It was great weather and we had a great time.

I tried including a couple pics of fish that Danny caught. No monsters, but you can tell by his smile he had a blast.

Thanks. We had a great time. Hope to be back down there in the next couple of weeks. I appreciate all the assistance of the different CC members who gave me info on best place to get bait. This is a great place!
