    Default Perry - 10-23

Went under the bridge over on Ferguson Rd and fished from the bank. About 3 hours, and got these - the smallest one is about 10-1/2. Used June Bug/Chartreuse Slabalicious, 1/16 oz head, cast out near the bridge post, letting it sink for a 12 count, then bring it in about mid speed (1 second per revolution, for my 5.2:1 reel).

Just sharing what I learn, man. I grew up at Lake of the Ozarks, and have been fishing since I was a young boy hanging out with my grandpa - you could say fishing is in my blood. We moved here in May, but I haven't quite figured them out at Perry... Yet... lol I have a good day here and there, but love just being at the lake. Not much luck tonight - got one 10.5", but considering the walk up the rocks, and then driving all the way around the lake to the cleaning station, I figured one fish wasn't worth it to me to clean. He is now back in the lake happily waiting for someone else to catch. Like I always tell my wife - days like today are why they call it "fishing" and not "catching". Hahaha

Good report. Perry is a tough lake to figure out for crappie. There hasn't been a lot of fisherman on the lake lately, except a few bass fisherman. I was able to stroll the rocks at Rock Creek in 8ft. Lot of dinks. Ended up cleaning 8, which I worked way too hard for.

I need to get my little Jon out and hang out all day under the bridge. It's just a 12', short side flat bottom, so it has to be an almost perfect day with no wind, no jet skis, no ocean liners, etc... That doesn't happen often here on a weekend. Lol

Were you fishing from the shore, or in a boat? What part of Rock Creek? When I go to Rock Creek, there are a few places by the big launch ramp that I hit, but haven't had a lot of luck there.

I was in a boat. The points right under the bridge hold the most fish and balls of shad. The rocky point by the sailboat boat ramp is also a good spot, but bank fishing is restricted

That's right around the corner from one of my favorite spots. Do you launch at the end of Shelter road? If so, you might have seen me fishing off of that point by the feeder once or twice. Lol
