Default Way back in the day

Found this gem laying around in an old box. Proof that my fishing prowess has been famous in this state for some time now! Way back in the day That's me in the middle back in 3rd grade.

That's pretty cool. If we could only go back to those times.

Man, that's all we did was hunt and fish. Every afternoon we would load our bikes and find some lake or pond to drop a cork into. We even had some pools in the drainage ditch around our neighborhood we knew would hold small fish. Never cared about what fish or what size as long as that little cork would go under. I remember my mom making me take $.75 in my tackle box so I could use a pay phone if I needed her. But when the weekend would come around and dad would load the boat and take me out, I might as well have been Bill Dance, Shaw Grigsby, or Roland Martin in my eyes. I used to narrate all our our trips like we were on Bassmasters. Man, I would give anything to be able to have him in the boat with me again.

But you are correct. It is a different world for kids now. And I'm not that old. Kept me out of a lot of trouble, that's for sure.

Man....after all this time, you would think a fella would grow out of his goofy looks.

That's pretty cool. When I was in the third grade, my picture was only in the principals office. Don't remember what for, but more than likely for calling some kid goofy looking. Man have things changed since then.

I figured you would get jealous of my stardom... I always said if I just had hair like you do I would have been famous. This thought led to an epiphany recently that if I wanted hair like you, all I have to do is follow you around and pick it up off the ground!! Now, now. Jealousy is such an ugly emotion.
