Ouachita river 10/17
Went back to the river with 40watt today. We had a good mess today keeping 32, even though the bite seemed to be off. Had to really pester them into biting. Looked to me like the water was rising as we fished.
Found our fish in same area as last week fishing hair jigs in and around structure 4 to 5 ft deep.
These river fish look all beat up. I guesss these free range river crappie live a lot harder life than those cooped up lake crappie....😉

Nice mess of fish there Jimmy. Congratulations! Do you mind telling a feller where you are launching? I ran across a guy the other day at Joe Bob's and he had been fishing up around Hamilton and De'Loutre basin in a small pond off of the river. I would almost bet I know the "Pond" he is talking about. He said he had about 30.

Thanks, Jimmy. I have never launched at the hang out, but have launched many times at both Sterlington and Lake Hamilton. It will probably be just as fast for me if I launch at Joe Bob's and run up river in the boat.
