    Default Buck tails?

Guys I've only tied a couple of big buck tails. So my question is how did I do on this one.

Looks good!! Using a thick thread and making sure you really cinch it down the first few wraps are helpful on the bigger ones.

Nicely tied - one quick way to check if you're cinching the hair down nice and tight is try pulling on with your hand it will tell you real quick how well you did on them.

I like the way you got the blue buck tail even with the blue paint. Not a easy thing to do. Good job.

Thanks for the tips. I just haven't done anything this big . I guy I work with asked me to make them. So I give it a try.

Real nice work and good colors. I used a heavy spot of sally's under the hair to help hold it in place. Heavy thread, as already said, is a must. Toothy critters, like salt water fish, warrant a bit of epoxy over the thread to help make em last longer. I've seen some that folks had used that only had a few hairs left from teeth and breakage and they were still catching fish. Go figure.
