Thread: Clinton Oct 14 and 15 report

Caught 20 crappie on Friday with 9 keepers and 28 on Sat with 14 keepers. Found no fish shallow all in 10 to 18 feet of water around brush at 8 to 10 feet down. Color didn't seem to matter and are success was with minnows. We had the best luck in Highway 10 cove, Junkyard cove, and Houseboat cove. Wind made it tough on Sat but persistence paid off. First time fishing this lake but it seems to have great potential and is only 2 1/2 hours from home lots of structure. Biggest fish was 11 inches Green Acres bait shop on route 10 had a good supply of minnows. Good luck everybody.

Worth the trip Wilbur. Avoid it during the summer. Packed full of pleasure boaters with money to burn on fuel...
