Default Cypress warning fir Sat, Oct 15

There will be a bass tourney out there and I'm told there'll be 50 teams launching at the south public launch. It's going to be crowded. Just a heads up for anyone planning to fish on Cypress in Benton. Might want to either get there very early or use the park or north launch.

I probably won't be there, but thanks for letting everyone else that might fish there Saturday know about it.

A friend of mine is one of the parents that helped start the fishing team for Parkway HS. I saw that the regional tourney was going on out there this weekend. I'm may regret it, but I'd rather go and be sorry than not go and be sorry. The crappie have been on a solid bite for weeks. Hi, my name is Rob, and I'm addicted to the thump.

What part of the lake have you been feeding your addiction? Went last Saturday afternoon around the beach for about an hour but got tired of fighting the wind. Tried fishing 10-12 feet but didn't catch any crappie but picked up a few bass after putting up the jig poles.

Same area. All out in front of the beach, around the point, and all over in front of the park launch and Wilson's. I've been out there every Saturday and Sunday from morning to around two for the last month except for today. Started out fishing jigs, shiners, and jigs with shiners. Did ok, but Theygotaeat showed me the way with pulling cranks. That's what I started doing three weekends ago and son is it paying off! Fun too!

Big difference in boat population out there Saturday versus the previous weekends. Aside from the bass tourney traffic and occasional ski boat, there were quite a few other boats fishing the same spots. I'd guess by the lack of action and quick move that they didn't do as well as I, and I'm postive that nobody is doing as well as TGE. He's got the touch. Bonafide Crappieologist!
