Gabe as far as the minnows go Settler Trace gas station, Elmars Bp , Elk Creek Grocery , Briar Ridge General store all have minnows I do believe the settlers has the best of the bunch much more hardy and last longer, as far as best place to launch really depends on where your looking to fish and style of fishing , state ramp is usually not as busy with pull through spots but you do have to travel through the long no wake around the marina, settlers trace has a wider ramp but parking is a mess and gets really busy and you still have the long no wake, chowning lane ramp is pretty small but gets less use and puts you ruffle mid lake with lots of timber close but windy back roads to get to the ramp, Van buren is on the upper end of the lake where the river comes in very small
Lot but again not usually very heavy traffic but the water shallows up really bad in this area one must be very careful to stay in the channel and watch the large mud flat with water down right now and as far as the fish get there at day light they seem to be much bite early hit the timber and watch your electronics they seem to be piled into certain spots and absent in others and be prepared to take your time wouldn't wanna tear a hole in the hull on the many stick ups now visible from the low water due to lack of rain
