I fished the gravel pits north of I-565 along Limestone Creek today looking to get out of the wind. Best bait was a 1/16oz jig head with a Chartreuse Bobby Garland single poling isolated brush or casting a 1/32oz spinner with a white twister tail. I kept half a limit of 10" Crappie and returned many, many more for another day including several over 15 inches.

Fishing is a privilege...catching is a bonus. Enjoy each precious moment we have to experience our great outdoors!
Nice. Bet that cat gave you a pull! Does anybody else notice that after catching a cat the crappie won't hit your jig until you cut off about a foot of line and re-tie. I use braid and theorize that it must be the cat slime that the crappie don't like
Good job nice batch of fish.
The water temp in these shallow pits was had dropped to the mids 60's at daylight. When the water gets to the mid 60's Crappie will crush small spinners, I even got several Bass including a 5 pounder. Hard to get into, but fun to fish.
Good report and congrats

Man that's the lowest water temp I've heard yet. Nice job on that box of fish!!
