    Default Piney Creek Kayak Report.

Launched on the west side of the first bridge in Mooresville fished from almost 565 to almost the Limestone bay and Caught a mixed batch, but no crappie. Water up in the creek was nice and clear but the water closer to the bay was muddy. I did get out of the kayak and wade some to fish the water up closer to 565 there was not enough to float the kayak. Caught quiet a few small bass up next to 565. Bigger fish were caught closer to the bay. Best fish was a 15" bass. Caught a lot of bream in the 7" to 8" range. Best bait for bream seemed to be a white Road Runner and best for bass was a white Beetle Spin with a white Cream Curly Tail.Name: Monster1.jpg

Great little area, most of the gills I caught were small but I plan to go back when the water is down lower, hopefully it will concentrate the fish more.

    Great pics!!

It was a great day to be out on the water and the cooler temperature is great. Missed tons of small bass on the UL rod and reel. I have to learn to set the hook harder with the short Shakespeare UL.
