Better be sure your winch strap is long enough or you have some heavy duty rope on hand. I also heard you can just go ahead and load the boat and tie the winch strap off to the motor or whatever, then crank the trailer up. I believe the rear of the boat can float more weight than the front due to area?

Either plan is worth a try instead of wrecking a trailer and I know someone who did that!

    Thx

Easiest solution I know of. Can be made out of metal if you know a welder.

What holds the 2X8 in place?

    Paster:
The one's I've seen are 2x12s but a 2x8 should work if the tire is not too big. They used carriage bolts and washers countersunk. I would imagine you could drill through the sides and fit large Ubolts through them and over the frame rail? Anything to hold them vertical while dragging on the ramp. Of course, metal is the best.

    Bruce:
I don't think he still makes them. But all you would need is a short piece of aluminum I-Bar and 4 large ubolts. I saw on the post that he wanted 90.00 for one! Maybe that's why he quit doing it.

Bruce, I found this video on line supposedly showing how they work. Perhaps they do but would work much better if they were about 2" lower than the middle of the tire and mounted further back to where the rear of the EZ OUt would be near the front of the tire. These should be easy to make by anyone with a welder and some metal. The video works but the link to the web site.
