Had one for 35 years and used it twice just after buying. I'll sell it to you if you're looking for one.

Should I interpolate that it did not work for you?

I have had one for several years. Have not used it for a long time. Used it some when I first got it and sometimes it helped me choose a color that seemed to help catch fish on that day sometimes nothing seemed to work.

If you're talking about the Combo-C-lector (color/pH/temp gauge unit) :

Like the other responding members, I have one ... but never use it. I did use it when first purchased, but for some reason it seemed to always tell me to use the same 2-3 color combinations.
Since those were the same ones I'd already been using, I gave up on using the unit for color selection and just used it as a temp gauge. Even then, I didn't use it but a few times in the Spring to measure water temps on spawning banks ... to see if the Bass should be moving into those areas.

While they're not a widely sought after "collectors item" ... I have seen them for sale on eBay, and the asking price was as much or more than what the original price was.

Like so many other "gimmicks" to make catching fish easier ... they take time away from actual "fishing" or take your attention away from what your rods are doing. I just found that I caught just as many fish not using it, as I did using it, and it was one less thing I had to deal with that took time away from my fishing ... so I just put it away.

i had one and don`t know what happened to it and a under water camera can`t see if it is stained unless the fish came right in front of it . did go int a spring where it was clear and the fish would bump my bait and swim away never ate it that showes that they will not bite anytime unless they could see the hook and line in the clear water . i quit buying that kind of stuff just hook line reals and a lot of jigs and minnows .
retired and now i will always fish
