Sorry for the late post, but just haven't had time to get to the computer since I got home yesterday afternoon.
Any way, I went to D'Arbonne Bayou and launched at Joe Bob's. Went up the bayou and fished stumps in 6-8 feet of water. The fish were holding tight to the stumps about 4-5 feet deep. Caught fish on one of my hand tied black/chartreuse jigs and on an electric chicken on a green head that I painted. Most of the fish were caught on the black/chartreuse. The bite was pretty aggressive also. There was no doubt when a crappie hit the jig. Man sakes alive do I love the THUMP? Yes, I do!!!!!![]()
I ended up keeping 19 fish that ranged in length from 10 inches to 15.5 inches. I did not weigh any of them but from past experience I figure I had several that went more than 1.5 lbs. I probably threw back 6 or 7 crappie and PawPaw Gene's goo.
I went to the same place back on the 19th but did not post my results because of a crappie tournament they were going to hold the next Saturday. I wanted to give Maxwell 328 and Juicy all of the advantages they could get. LOL.I did catch several fish that day also. I believe I kept 10 crappie and 3 green trout.
I hope you enjoy the pictures.

I fish 7 days a week; some days for fish, everyday for men.
Very nice Pastor! Might make a Saturday trip there myself.
