My friend, Ricky, and I got out for about 4 hours of crappie searching this AM. NE wind gently blowing, clear skies, and water temps between 76-77 today, and since both of us love to fish off shore structure, that is what we concentrated on today. I have a gut feeling that the fish are in transition toward shallows as some of the deeper places that we have been catching fish were void of fish today.

We did manage to eke out 10 keepers, so I guess that it wasn't a lost cause. Only need 7 for tournaments so we would have had a limit if we were fishing one today. Not very big fish though. I caught fish on Bass Assassin Pro Tiny Shad 2" Chicken on a Chain, Blue Thunder, and Limetreuse colors. Ricky was fishing BG shads in Outlaw Special and Blue Thunder. We moved around a lot and would catch one here and one there. Only one stop yielded 6 keepers.

It is time to deer hunt. Grin.
