    Default Fall shellcrackers.

My boat is in for service but I just had to go fishing today....couldn't stand sitting at home. Headed down to VFW Lake. I was using the Tict Ice Cube 6' 9" Rockin' Drift UL rod with SOS 2# test line. Had on a 1/24 ounce jig head with a #8 hook and a Bison colored Trout Magnet. No twitching today.......just a slow steady retrieve and they would kill it. I wanted to keep it down deep as I was after shellcrackers. In 3 hours I had about 15 like in the pics.....9-11 inches....and had about a dozen or so of 6-8 inch fish. All in all a great day of some drag pulling fun! Life is good!

Thanks for the comment guys. I am hoping the fall weather brings out more and bigger fish. Water temps in the lakes I fish are still around 85 degrees. It should get real good when it drops to around 70.
