    Default Engel aerated cooler

I just purchased one today hoping that will solve my issue keeping minnows alive. I went with this as it has the 12v plug so i can run off the receptacle in my boat. Any recommendations? I think the water will still get warm, hoping some ice will assist keeping them cool. Please let me know recommendations or experiences you have.

I use the 13qt one. I run D dollar trees batteries in it. Keeps minners lively as long as the tank water is cool.

Starting off with cool water will help keep the minnows lively and the Engel will keep the minnows alive more than a day by replacing fresh cool water everyday. With hot weather keeping minnows alive is always a problem but these bait tanks work great. Try to keep the top closed and locked down to keep the cool air in the tank between getting the minnows.

Get you about 3-4 of the small gator aid or juice bottles. Fill with water and freeze. Put one in minnow cooler rest in another cooler. I have found in my insulated buckets one is good for several hr's. You will be surprised how long that water stays cool.
