I'm kinda new to fall time crappie fishing and I fish Neely Henry a lot. About what depth were you guys catching um? Any chance I could catch them Long lining? or is that out till next Spring? I don't have a setup for spider rigging yet, but might come up with something. Thanks for any help!

There are people who long line all year long and catch fish but I have only caught them in the spring doing it. We caught them from 8 to 15 feet deep over water that was 10 to 22 feet deep. Let me know if I can be of any help getting you set up to spider rig, I know a little about it.

We fished again today. There were 2 of us today. We caught 12 crappie, lost several more and caught 8 trash fish. Doing same thing, water temps still 82-83. Really want to see some cooler weather.

2 of us fished again yesterday and caught 21 crappie and 4 trash fish. Water temps were 80-81 so it seems to be cooling a little. We could have caught more I think but we were hunting some larger fish for tournament this Saturday.

I believe I may have seen you guys yesterday in the willow point area. I was bass fishing around willow point. I thought about easing over and talking but didn't want to mess ya'll up. Wasn't long after you guys motored on towards Greensport. Glad you guys caught some. I think I am going to try and rig up for spider rigging and give it a try.

Yes that was us. You should have stopped and talked, we like to talk fishing with other folks except during a tournament. We only caught a couple of fish off that hump but it is usually a good spot. We were searching for bigger fish so we didn't stay too long at any of the spots we tried. If you have any questions on setting up to spider rig let me know and I will share what little I know about it. That is the way I fish about 95 % of the time.

Then I went again from 5 till dark tonight i ended up with about 12 but only 2 keepers. Water temp was 83ish mostly. All these were shooting docks. See yall Saturday
