First trip to pataula creek for specks. I have always heard about the sunken bridge and wanted to try it. I found the bridge and a bunch of bait but I didn't catch any specks but we caught about 6 or 7 green carp and some whisker trout there. I finally found a few specks that would bite on up pataula creek in 22' of water on the bottom in the channel. We caught 7 but all were small 10" and smaller.

Eufaula is difficult this time of year. Need a little cooler water and the fall bite will come on. Everyone I know is catching bluegill & shell crackers on the gravel points and sandbars.

A guy at the bait store said some folks have been catching some at the sunken bridge about a hour before dark and a hour after dark.
