Ronnie - in answer to your question - Spider Lock''s are really engineered good ( sometimes i think a little over kill) i use mine at rear of boat to
primary longlining- Once you get rod sets - to where you want them, very rarely would have to change anything.
Only problem i found, when using them upfront on Spider rig - if you took a hit, whole bar moved, all rods will shake
Tight Loc's with 24" T bar, you can tighten down a little more to get away from shake - and/or go the single pole set for what ever number of rods
you want and have no shake. (Big money guys all use this system) I'm on retirement and somewhat fixed budget and $750 for that i an't justify

I have noticed you can't set end position at 90 degrees without rod handle interference also.

Next time at boat will check that out --- you saying that you turn outside road holder at a 90 - rod hand will interfer with next rod holder, where you
actualy with a tite-loc you will not have that problem ?

With tite-loc 24" T bar, the way bar is drilled - you can purchase 2 more rod holders and mount them on top of T- bar thereby you can spider rig 10 rods
the holes are there and threaded

Just got to use my new Spyderloks for the first time not in the driveway.

A whole lot easier on the fine adjustments though a little bulky maybe, they sure look sharp.

The base plates lock'em in tight and they feel solid as a rock to the boat.

The height adjustment options are nice.

Very happy in the bang for the buck.

Yea having those independant pole holders would be nice but the cost X 8 is nuts for a working stiff.

Ordering from Gene here on the site was a breeze and super fast shipping. Top notch fellow that Gene and I tip my hat to him in appreciation. Can't go wrong dealing with Gene.

All in all a clear step up in equipment for my Slow Ride and a big smile on my face 😊

Gene puts out good product for price - equal to tite-loc's

I use my spider loc's out back - tite-loc's front - by have the 24" t-bar i can put 5 on each rack, makeing it a 10 tier up front.
Gene knows his stuff - at thought at first that he my over engineered tham a little bit.

    Glad you like them
