Sorry Tom, don't know. But I do remember the days when most hitches were that way, but they were made to keep the ball close to the bumpers. S shaped hooks are illegal too now, they must closed off, when hooked up.

Geez. My new trailer (3 years ago new) came with S hooks. Guess I better stay in Tn and not move around the country anymore.
