    That is what I had in mind also. My setup is a little different but I might be able to make that work. Those clips that huntinslabs posted are interesting. I have never seen agny and never noticed them in the store.
    By the way are those catfish floats(jugs) in the picture?

    Those clips won't work on a stick steer boat. We have no hydraulic cylinder. Now if you have a hydraulic stick steer they will work. I checked those out. The clasp idea looks good. I'm going to try it......thanks for the idea.

    Yes those are catfish noodles. My wife loves to chase those things. We put them out and go crappie fishing. We check them periodically.

    After seeing JohnDeeres setup, I decided to go with the hasp as well. I had about decided that was the simplest way but wanted to see if any other ideas popped up.

    Just to follow up on this thread. I have had the boat out twice since installing the stick lock and it works perfectly. Could not be much simpler. Occam's Razor proves true once more.
