Thread: Chickamauga Lake report: 8/29/2016

My beautiful wife, Wanda went out with me on a short scouting and fishing foray. She told me up front that I could catch all the keepers today and she would just catch little fish. I was beginning to wonder if she was going to catch anything. Grin
We kept 6 keepers for dinner tonight and she caught a couple of short crappie and 1 yellow bass. I also caught a small largemouth bass and a little Smallmouth Bass.
Did some scouting in an area that I have been wanting to scout for some time. BTW, the water temp was 87.2 and there was a good current in the main river. No giant fish today.
We caught all our fish on Panfish Assassins in the 2" Chicken on a Chain color. I love this little bait. We fished a little over 2 hours before the sun got to us. We started out late about 10:30.
