Crappie Wall Hanger II
Just had back surgery and cannot get down stairs to my shop. Will take a pic of the modified hook eye when i can get down there. I basically do a ninety degree bend about a 1/8' above the eye and then cut the barb section off. the little ninety degree bend secures it in the casting.I open the eye slightly before casting it. I have seen no problem with blade tangling with the body materials.

Thanks for the info - but I'd sure have to pick another hook if I decided to try it!!!!!!!LOL
Do you guys that do the water dip method have a video on it?? When I'm just sitting around I foil them and store them until I'm ready to powder which is usually the winter.

This is the Mustad 3366A #8 hook I make the insert for these horse head jigs. I can powder paint jigs and tie the bodies without having the swivel get in my way. I add the #14 swivel with spinner and close the eye with my pliers. You can buy these hooks for $4.45 / 100. Most inserts for molds cost around 8 cents apiece so these are cheap in my opinion. These were 1/16oz jigs. They are easy to make. Slightly open eye, bend with needle nose pliers and cut with end cutters.
