I imagine many of you name your favorite places you like to fish. I'd like to hear what some of you call your favorite places. You don't have to give away locations, I just want to see how creative this bunch is. Here are some of my favorites: Split Rock, Jackpot, Jig Eater. Between those three spots, I've probably caught more than 1,000 crappies in the last few years. What are some of your favorites? Maybe share a story with it as well (how it got it's name).

Sure do! On Fort Gibson during the last tournament we came up with beaver point! A rock that looks just like a beaver standing on it's hind legs. On my homelake we are a little boring, 1905 named after a waypoint, the shale bank, red clay bank, tombstone, the alien (don't ask me or I'll have to.....well you know) LOL.

Redge, great reply! I look forward to fishing with you and hearing the story behind "the alien"...

My Dad (Crappie Ciller), and I were fishing a new brush pile during the heat of the summer which was perfectly sheltered from any and all wind. Great news was the fish were biting. Bad news, it was over 100 degrees with the sun beating down on us. After a couple hours and about 50 beautiful crappies later, crappie ciller named the pile...Death Valley!!

Zeke- no matter how much he begs you don't show Kirk Death Valley, Number One or Dooleys Stump. And don't even talk to him about the Johnny Cash Pile! I like this thread idea KC- more later as I get time.

I don't name mine and don't use counters either. Of course we have boring lakes around the OKC area with not much going on with them.
