After the last Catfishing trip with my older Brother, I asked Him where his Hand Sanitizer was... As he gave me the LOOK, it was clear he had no Idea what I was talking about ---- I asked myself the Title of this Post --- I dont remember where I heard about when I first heard about useing the stuff at all hospitals and stores where the Germ - o - Phobes wipe shopping cart handles. The thing about Hand Sanatizer is it Nutralizes the Toxic effect in the slime of Fish, Like Cats --- it makes the cut from Fins stop bleeding and the Pain instantly go away... I had several containers here at the house just for that purpose and in My Boat and tackle Box. I think the first time I heard about it was as First - Aid from a LifeGuard that was helping someone at the Beach that had Encountered a JellyFish while swimming at the Beach My Son is One of the Germ - O Phobes and I found every drop I had in 5 Different places is all gone --- used up and missing in action encluding the wifes tackel box . Now when Payday comes stocking up will be on my list of things to do.... Also it made me think if Bro had never Heard of how it can be used to stop the Pain from being Finned it might be I need to share it with all my friends here on CDC

This may not be acceptable on this forum and if that is the case I apologize. 50 years ago when I was decking on a shrimp boat one of the first things I learned was that the first treatment for fin and horn pricks ( shrimp horns ) that can render your hands useless pretty quick was a good soaking with urin (pee). It stops infection and helps with pain relief. This is the truth as best I can tell it. Still use it on occasion today. Nowadays many boats keep bottles of amonia on hand for this. This is an old salts remedy

You never know what situation you may find yourself in and what you may have to resort to to survive. You may even be able so find something on google about the medicinal uses for pee.

I've always been told that if you have athlete's foot, pee on your feet in the shower. You might be on to something with the medicinal properties. I've never tried the GermX for the relief of finned fingers. I have plenty of the stuff. Will have to try it.

I hope nobody takes O' Fence to Germ-o- Phobes..... I was raised eating Mud Pies in the ditch and drinking whole Raw Cow Milk.. It will give you ammunity to everything except rabbies and hoof and Mouth disease----- Have been known to put a hoof in my mouth at times
