Thread: Glow plug Bandits

I've got some glow cranks and hardly ever used them. But one day I took a friend fishing where I'd been wearing them out previously but the bite was almost non existent. Then I remembered an article I read about using glow jigs in heavily stained water and on a cloudy day, which were the conditions for that day. So out of desperation I did a wholesale change out to nothing but glow cranks. We immediately started catching crappie and wound up with a pretty good mess of nice ones. Now the question is, did they just start biting or was it the glow plugs? I can't say for sure, but I have tried them on other days with similar conditions and not gotten the same result. However, I do use them more often now than I used to and catch fish on them, but I can't say that it's because they glow or that they've ever been the distinctive bait of choice by the crappie as I can about Orange Crush or Black and Bubble Gum at times. I also might mention that they may be discontinued, but I just got some from Grizzly Jig recently.
