After much thought about the super duper size and numbers of the Ms. skeeters, and my low blood count, I decided to wait and do a fall or early spring trip. The last time I fished on Washington was right after the civil war, so I'm excited about going. Which would yall think would be most enjoyable...![]()

The fall is good for solid fish and numbers, I like late November, have had some excellent thanksgiving weekends there. If you want giants go mid to late February.

Magnolia CC has the Big Mama Open tournament there Nov. 12th. Guess it would be a good time to gain a little info but it may be a time of larger than normal water traffic and at boat ramps.
You might consider the crowds. In the spring when some of the fish move into the shallows to spawn, you have to bring a stump with you. I have never fished there in the fall. However, I would think that you probably fish more in open water and maybe not quite as crowded in the fall. Whichever time you choose enjoy your trip because it is indeed a great lake.
Another about spring is the cold fronts, and the wind. I would imagine Washington being a shallow lake the wind could make it a very rough lake to fish in March? Nov. or Feb. sounds better to me. I can take the cold in Feb. but the wind in March is a deal breaker to me...lol
Crappie Masters has a tournament at Lake Washington March 11.
