Are you sure that is not one of his off springs? From the picture that deer doesn't look near 5.

Over populated and small, limpy is at least 7, this is his 5th or 6th year with the limp and drop tine

That one fooled me. I won't shoot anything less than 4 1/2 and I have never seen one that old with such a small neck without a sway back and pot belly. I was taught to age deer by the man in S Texas that started the modern aging of deer on the hoof in the 50s. He taught the fish and game dept how to do it back then. I sure missed that one though. Maybe I will see him one day but if he is 7 he doesn't have very many years left.
