Thanks for the tip. Went there today and bought 3 14' psts for 15 a piece and I picked up a 7' Sam Heaton for 10 bucks and two sets off Capps and Coleman rigs for 3 bucks a piece!!! I cleaned them out of the psts and Coleman rigs. What a deal!!!!

I spoke with the guy in the sporting goods section and after I purchased everything i asked why clearance markdown. He said they were doing inventory and there were still more mark downs to come.

My local (closest) Walton World seems to think everyone should fish with a Ugly Stik. And while I do have a "super center" Wally World in town, I haven't made the trip across town to check it out. And the last time I visited our Cabela's, Sportsmans Whse., or Dick's Sporting Goods stores ... there wasn't much in the way of rods over 10-12' to choose from. Luckily, for me, I'm not currently in need of any more "long rods".

I never figured out how buying stuff on sale saves money. I got stuff on sale from years ago still unused. I guess the auctioneer will profit from all the stuff come doomsday for me.

That's the truth. It's like when they say "buy one get one free". It's not free if you have to buy something first.

Yep, the Wally worlds in Northern IL are the same way, don't believe they have ever heard of a crappie pole, let alone with B&M on it. Their fishing section consists of a aisle bout 20 feet long mostly coolers, ugly stick combos some floor sweepings.
