July 30th, Night fishing
Shady Oaks Bait & Tackle
Deland, Fl.
Beautiful evening- no rain, somewhat cool and QUIET (this is what night fishing
is all about) quietness, no boat traffic -just you and the fish.
The entry list dropped to only 6 entries, which isn't bad for first time
getting started.
2 out of 6 entries stayed whole night to 6am - which leads to modifying rules
somewhat.
"7 fish weight"
12 lbs 2.1 oz
Big Fish wgt
2 lbs. 5.7 oz
Both weights are above average for this time of year on daytime tournament
We will be notifyed when they are going to go for 2nd outing, along with rule
modification.
Anyone needing assistance or help getting set up for night fishing - get a hold
of Jack Smith 352 425-3096
Only thing different between night and day fishing
Weight of catch - size of fish caught
No sun beating down on you - slow cooking your brain
Solidtude of quietness
Night time fishing can become addictive.....
Correct equipment is needed & advised.
I did some articles on night fishing last year on Florida Crappie Club forum.
Thanks Harold, that's close to home for me.
