Default Cotaco creek and muscle camp

Fished a bit Saturday afternoon and Sunday morning. Bounced around in the kayak sometimes getting out if I found deep water in a bend. Single pole with tuffies 3ft under bobber. Gars were terrible and I'm seriously thinking of taking up bow fishing. Lol. Name: 20160801_000929.jpg

Those are the sacs for next Springs spawning attempt. They will not develop until the fish goes thru a cold water cycle. If the eggs were from this spring it would be a tan color, bigger and grainy. There were a lot of them like that this late spring on the big G .I think the spawn was bad for the most part on Gville. Hope they prove me wrong in3 years!

I have only seen 1 perch in person and it came out of Cotaco a few years back...don't remember who caught it me or my brother...getting old.

Those yellow perch are awesome. They eat very well. Up north some folks will specifically target them for table fare.
