    Thanks guy's A update. My wife and I have been looking to buy some land in western Georgia. We have been looking for three years. This past spring we found some lots that were 14 miles from the closest boat ramp. When we were leaving the ramp we found a house for sale buy owner and met with the owners a month later and now own our retirement home and the house is less than a mile from a geo power ramp. We still have two years before we will be moving there. The lake is one of the top lake in Georgia and its named lake Oconee. I'll still post some on the va site and keep in touch.

    Nice b-day present, Jim! I hope you & your bride have the happiest retirement imaginable. The lake's stats say it's about the size of Gaston. That should keep you busy for a while!

    Great news on the house! Can't wait to see some fishing reports from there. I'm looking at retiring in the next 10 months or so myself, can't hardly wait!
