I often fish during the heat of the day, just because that's when I'm free. I just try to have lots of water and Gatorade with me.

It is miserable to go from A/C to mid day heat. But fishing or working in the yard from daybreak or at least before the furnace kicks in and slowly heating up with the day makes it more bearable. Drink a plenty of water or Gatorade and keep a good hat on that holds moisture. Gets really hot, go fer a swim. Can easily flip the coin around and say that I dont understand how someone can be outside when temps reach the teens and below. Cold is literally painful vs the heat being miserable to me anyway.

That's a good idea Ketchn, and I bet it helps eliminate some of your scent also.

Waist deep in a spring fed ozark stream is the best way....with a big straw hat on. Small cooler tied to your waist with adequate refreshments. Dunk under once in awhile. Tube float ain't bad either. In a kayak or canoe or boat you got to just fill a dipper to douse yourself occasional, and get out once in awhile and wade.

    And that ain't no joke.

It's been very hot and humid here in tn also.. I fish a bay boat with a Bimini top and that helps a lot my boat also has a wash down system I have a hose with a misting nozzle attached and have it pointed at me while fishing it the closest thing I have come up with to have a fishing boat with air condition LOL
