    Matanza during the first part of the summer herring can be found in the bay down by the damn to the right of the landing. The bait guys have big lights on there boats shining in the water which draws the herring and then they throw cast nets on them. They are also caught at the towers using sabizi rigs jiged down by the towers

    Derrick,check on Craig's list and yard sales,sometimes you can run across the 10 gallon water coolers,that way when you start,you'd have the insulation part anyway.whenever you build one,try to incorporate a filter of some sort,to catch mostly scales with the herring. If you catch gizzard shad they will clog up a filter in a hurry
