Day 3 of our big 4 vacation

Got the gals rounded up a little earlier today and was on the water by 8 at arkabutla. The water looked stagnant and had that scum on top. Never done good in water like that but we gave the old college try and pulled cranks for 3 hours with one legal fish caught. Wouldn't ya know it was my wife in her special crank she went and picked out yesterday lol. Called it the day around 1 and went to Windy City grill as recommended by you guys. I got the spicy seafood pasta per Brm, wife got the sampler platter, daughter the buffalo shrimp and other daughter a pizza. All I can say is no one had a bad meal. It was worth going and a good variety. We all left full as a ticks.

Hit the road and the gals wanted to try Enid this afternoon. I was trying to go take a nap being so full but they wouldn't have it lol. Ran into a big thunderhead and waited it out while I renewed my park pass. Launched the boat on a glassy lake with the sun out and ran east to point 8 or so and trolled back towards the dam. The girls caught several hybrids and wouldn't y know it my wife caught the only other legal fish on her special bait

. I haven't heard the end of that I am afraid lol. Got off the water just as another big thunderhead came onto the lake again. Hasn't been a fruitful trip with the fish cooperating but the laughs and food has been awesome. Missed getting a pict of wife and her fish as I left my phone in the truck.

Thanks for the report!! You and the gals are an upbeat bunch.. I really admire ya'lls enthusiasm. With that kind of good attitude and outlook there ain't a day that's a bust.. it's show been a hot one this week. And windy city is great... If ya'll get a chance on the way out, try Texas de Brazil in Memphis. It can be pricey, but the memory of such good food can be priceless. Looks like ya'll having a blast!!

Heck fish for the girls
To catch is icing on the cake. I am not mad at them any more. I like to catch and release as much as eat them now days. I keep enough for the freezer meal or so and call it good. We enjoy the fight on the rod more than anything and the competition between the girls is fierce lol. Especially when it comes to the winner of the big fish picking the place to eat
