    Question Best Trolling Motor Batteries?

One of my current type 31 batteries is no longer holding a charge. I think it is time to replace both of them. What is the best battery I can get for running two batteries in parallel for a 12 volt Terrova. I have both batteries installed under the console, and I have several inches of wiggle room. I had to put them there because there was not room for two type 31's and a cranking battery and a charger and two water pumps in my mechanical compartment at the back. I could fit two smaller tm batteries back there if they gave equal staying power, and if this is possible it is what I would like to do. I am selling this boat this fall and I think folks would prefer the tm batteries being where they are supposed to be. Boat is a PolarKraft 176ff Bass America ........ What would you go with?

Smaller won't be equal. I had to put 29s in the space under my deck. Pulled from 7 til after 2 Sunday and they were still going. 31s wouldn't fit.

I'm running 3 Trojan 1275 cart batteries on my Excel. Folks keep asking how long they will last. Honestly, I have no idea because I have never ran them down. They get plugged into the MinnKota 345 charger as soon as the boat is backed into the garage and stay plugged up till the boat leaves for the next trip. One huge thing to me is in the 7 months I have been running them, I have added water to them ONE TIME! Levels were still well above the plates. I keep a check on them and it is not an easy process getting all 3 of them out from under my center console. I couldn't be happier with them.

Keep in mind if space is a issue because most of the cart batterys are taller
