Default learning to pull crankbaits on LOZ

Visited with ripnlips (Richard) yesterday. He told me I needed to watch mr.bakers video's. I did and was totally impressed. We decided to try this (trolling crankbaits) today. We got an early start and hit the water on LOZ. We set up with me trying to control three poles in the back, and Richard had two in the front. It was a blast for about 3 hours. Non targeted species (a lot of bass, some really nice ones, of course they were thrown back). Richard caught his favorite type, drum (it was also thrown back). And we pulled in of course what we were after CRAPPIE (kept those). He had me using red/pink/yellow bandit 300's. We were trying to figure out colors, it was more pick and choose and try what we thought was best. I had the line out at different depths 75-125 feet. It was a blast, my type of fishing. It will not be to difficult to have me try this again, and again. But when the big boats come out and those little bitty ones, and it gets hot, it time to get out of there. A good day fishing with a best friend.Name: fish w rich 7916.jpg

I am going to have to buy you guys a go-pro to see what really goes on when you have 5 poles out. Congrats on the non target fish. Looks like some nice slabs.

Sure was good to get Paul back on the boat hope his priority is back on track. Good morning out for sure plenty of action till the big boats cranked up. Thing I noticed was all but 2 of the crappie were nice sized wonder if the cranks keep the shorts away? Glad to get back after them been travelling a bit lately. And no Mark a go pro is not allowed on the boat what goes on at the lake stays at the lake. (oh wait Paul tells on me)
