Thread: Thursday-Lake Meade-34 crappie

Off on vacation this week and got on Meade around 8:45, 4-5 other boats on the lake but they were all gone when I left at 3:15. Pretty miserable when the wind dropped out but not bad at all when it blew. 34 crappie with most around 8"-9" but 2 at 1lb even and 1 at 1lb 1oz with 2 others just under 1lb. Blue Ice was the ticket, caught all but one of them on it. Found one fall down in around 10' of water, caught most there but there was very little wind there so I left them biting in search of a cooler spot to fish. Caught them anywhere from 4' down to 9' down. I don't know that lake very well so I did a lot of long lining. Nothing really picture worthy. Sure was nice to fish rather than work.

What were the water conditions that day? Clarity? Temp? Grass?

I showed surface water temp at 84-89, at times the lake looked like iced tea but some areas were clearer with visibility around 2'. No FAV at all.
