I used to go in a pirogue to Bodcau dam and fish with a white spinner bait for them just for fun. You'd see them jumping all over the lake. Those jokers would tow the front of my boat left and right while I was reeling them in. Haven't done that in a long time but had a blast doing it.

Say I fried patties on Saturday and had grinded a bunch up and put a couple bags up in the freezer . On Sunday I decided to cook a rioux and dumped some choupic balls in that rioux and added some water and cook that down with onions , garlic , bell peppers for a while . I can't explain how good that was !! Lol . Believe me when I'm sacalait fishing I'll cut them loose too but when they bite I love to get them ... It's almost like a tradition , I guess every year . Gar balls is next month !
