Trolled Friday and Saturday mornings. Had 6 Friday and 10 Saturday. Newest thing that I have learned. Livewell doesn't work above 85 degrees. I will have a cooler with ice for any future trips. Fish didn't get wasted but they weren't as "fresh" as I like when I got home.

Kept mine in the well for about 2 hrs this morning done good but continued turning on well every 15 min or so then they had to go to the ice 1gal froze milk jug busted into big chunks lasted 8 hrs
During the hot months I carry a cooler with 4 - 6 half gallon frozen milk jugs. I put one in the live well with the first fish in and replace it about every hour. They will keep the water cooler than ambient about that long with aerator on automatic. Its a hassle but it helps keep that hard earned meat fresher. I want to try and insulate my live well better, especially the lid that is taking direct sunlight.

I like to use a cooler with ice and not even mess with the livewell once it gets this hot. Those fish are coming from cooler water 20' deep. Just throw them on ice and they stay as firm and fresh as winter fish.

It is not as much as throwing them in warmer water as it is the bladder being inflated when caught in deeper water. The inflated bladder does not allow them to get full water coverage while in the live well.
