Pro series also has micro guides. Pulling rod doesn't.

I have a feeling if I fished the pro series I'd like it more. I like a fast tip action but can't get past the red/white color combo. So wish rod companies offered a selection of color combos.

Would like to see a shorter cast n drag rod. Heard chatter of it.

Ken aka Starfish is a really great guy. He's went out of his way to help me get a few rods. Been begging him to get them to make another 8ft Huckabee rod like they use to make. Best all around rod I've ever seen. I've still got 3 of them and wouldn't take $300 for one of them, you can't get them anymore. Best cast and drag, drop shot, or super light jigging rod out there. Casts a mile and its got plenty of backbone too. Love the long cork Tennessee handle, makes it easy to balance your rod and reel and that's more important than most people think for really great feel and sensitivity. Sure wish Todd and Ken would come out with another 8ft model. His old Quantum 8fters are legendary in my neck of the woods.

Andy, the Dipping rods have been my favorite for awhile. I had the pleasure of fishing with Ken when the Pro Series was only out in Beta form and got to fish it before Todd even did. Love the Pro Series just as much as my Dippins. Recently sold a couple of them to my 81 yr old friend who is coming to pick me up at 5 am for a morning of using both styles until the heat knocks us off the lake. Was good to see you at Gibson.

Got my two pro series in the mail yesterday.....tried them on Ft Gibson....swung a 3 lb bass in the boat with no problem....also several crappie....gonna take some getting used to the feel of them but so far so good....i still like the balance of the dipping rods due to the tennessee handle but the pro series has alot more backbone to it.

Have used most long rods on the market, and helped design a long rod for a popular company as well. I can say hands down-bar none that the Huckabee's are the finest Long Rod on the market anywhere.... I can also say I own and use 3 models of Huckabee's on a daily basis with clients and myself. The other side is their customer service which is far above any I have ever delt with.......Ranger

I like my meatdragga so much. I am hoping to save up and purchase a second. I like to have multiple rods in my boat with different setups on them. I find myself only using the setup I have on the meatdragga because I like the rod so much. I suspect if I get a second one I'll do a better job of using multiple setups and increase my catch. I wanted to try the pro series but hard for me to purchase anything other than the meatdragga. BTW - the first fish I caught on this rod was a 12" male in the buck brush on Rend Lake. Beautiful fish. The 1st fish Bigskyfisherman caught was a nice 13" fish. So this rod knows how to find the big fish.... At least I like to think it does...

Crappie Ciller were you referring to Bigskyfisherman when you mentioned "SkyKing".... If so I agree he is the king. He seems to catch double everyone around him most the time using the same baits. However, On the night of fishing mention on this thread.... Mom was definitely catching more than SkyKing and my self and I think both of us prefer it that way. I sure cherish times of fishing with my family.
