That is pretty deep already. Have been getting them around 15ft here. Will have to look deeper around here. Thanks for the report.

I have a skimpy report today. I took a friend today out of the Skull Island ramp on Chickamauga lake and our first two spots had other anglers on them so we then just fished by the seat of our pants. We wanted to beat the heat so we ran into a couple of creeks nearby and checked bridge pilings. The fist creek didn't have any crappie on them. The 2nd bridge pilings did and we caught a few but they were deep and very reluctant to bite.
Then back downriver to check on delta cuts and we found a few fish, but again, they were very slow to bite. Finally we saw the first guy leaving our number one spot and so we hit it after he had fished it for 6 hours. He left a few keepers. Grin. I kept 6 keepers to eat for dinner and we released all the rest of the fish that we caught today. My friend caught a couple of trashy green fish that we scolded and threw back.
LOL
We fished mostly with 1/16 oz jigs and blue/grass color was the hottest. Most of our fish were at least 20-25 feet deep and a few times my lure was in the water for 45-60 seconds before the fish would bite. We were sitting in nearly 40 feet of water a lot. Water temp this AM in the creek that we checked was 83.6 degrees.
I only took one pic.

Just because you're paranoid doesn't mean there is no one out to get you
Well done!
