    Default Pushing crankbait questions

Great read!! But what size weight would you use to push crankbaits vertical at 1.7mph. I've always pulled but got space an rods an extra racks that I could do something out the front of the boat while pulling. And would you rig it c and c style or weight on bottom?

Pushing crankbaits I run a three oz. trolling weight three ft. ahead of the crankbait. I run 1.8 pushing crankbaits and often push and pull at the same time. I use this depth chart for pushing cranks. Name: uploadfromtaptalk1466416529811.jpg

Pushing crankbaits is a different method than power trolling. Power trolling is really like spider rigging jigs and or minnows except with more weight and a higher speed.

I push like the depth charts says....just enough weight to keep line layed back at a 45 degree angle at speed I am running....for me at 1.8 mph three oz. works for that.
