Hound I'm on call that weekend if I can get someone to cover for me I'll see if the boss will allow me to come . lol I will follow up later if I can make it.

I wish I could make this night trip but the need for money gets in the way of having fun. I would like to pass along some tips for the newbie that may help you have a good night.
Have your boat and equipment in order before it gets dark. Trying to move around the boat in the darkness and not tripping over your rods and stuff is hard.
I have always had good luck anchoring in 30 feet of water on points or where a creek and the main channel meet.
Give your light time to work. If you do not have any activity around your light after 45 mins you may need to move.
Keep it simple ,I use only two rods with a single hook. On a good night you will be catching some of the biggest crappie you ever have. It is easier to retie a single hook on in the dark.
