WTG it is nice to see a good report from one of the oxbows. I have caught a lot of slabs out of that old chute. If it is the one I am thinking of, we would also cross the river and fish the other one on the Mississippi side.

Just so all the lurkers do not get confused, "there are a handful of people on this board that I consider super fishermen (you know who you are)". Do not expect the same result unless you are fishing their live well. That is all
Good job Kent. Can I have the coordinates to your live well?

Man those old oxbows bring back a lot of memories for me as a kid spent lots of hours in them with a cane pole and a slip bobber . We caught lots of crappies and some huge bream but that was years ago .
How was the gar bite?p
We only sell the Best. Ranger, Xpress, Yamaha, Suzuki, Tohatsu.
BRM, the gar bite was fair at best. I only landed two of those beasts !
