5 Gils to 1 Crappie yesterday ( All gils released)
NOT COMPLAINING, NOT COMPLAINING
A young kid ( 51 )in our community asked me, if I would take him Crappie fishing. We finally got together yesterday, I took him where I have been catching many crappies, but yesterday the gils were overpowering the crappies. I would say about 50% of the gils were in the 9" range.
We had a Great day, kept 6 Crappies and released 32 gils. He said, I'm going to cook these up tonight, but I could go again Friday!
Water temps 84, calm winds, partly cloudy, using minners and jigs tipped with nibbles. Spider rigging .5mph. Anything with orange on it, the gils absolutely crushed.
What time is it?IT'S CRAPPIE TIME!
