color question on plastics
Posted for shortdraw,(Kansas)When I try and make two color jigs lime blue and chartreuse and black and chartreuse the colors turn transparent. Here are some pictures of the blue and chartreuse black does the same thing. Is there something that I'm doing wrong or is it just the X2 colorant

I have this same problem with that mold. I'm guessing it's the 2.5 fry from do it? I'm thinking it's the thickness of the bait that is the problem but I'm looking forward to what everyone else thinks. But I will say that color work very well and it look fine.

Drop of white to the blue or the chartreuse?

I add a drop or 2 of white to my chartreuse when I want it to be solid. Your blue is a different story. I usually add a glitter sold by Hobby Lobby called Blue Jean. I get 1/96. It bleeds big time but is good as it gives your blue a nice pop. I also usually add some blue hi-lite. You could add some Florida Grape to it too to darken it up.

I've never added white to blue but imagine it would make it an Easter egg blue or something nasty.

dr nip for the win! drops of white are the ticket in this instance. if you add white to your blue it will solidify the color and also make it lighter, you will have to add more blue to make it pop right.
