    Default anyone got any idea

I fish out of nautic star 2110 bay boat. has hydraulic steering. just recently there has been a lot of slack in the steering and when it does catch its real jerky. it has a silver star HC5345 steering cyclinder. anybody got any idea as to what might be going on.

You got air in the lines. Most likely from a leaking cylinder. You can buy a gland and seal kit and then refill the system. Bleeding is a two man job and a pain in the rear.

I did the seal and bleed thing. Took 3 people on mine. (one with experience, cause me and the other was not even close to doing it right.) Good luck. That is exactly how mine felt before the fix.
