Was alot less eventful than yesterdays gilligans island misadventure.
Fished from 8 till noon. Called it early under threat of tstorms. Four keepers a few shorts. Not near the action we had at enid saturday.
All had a fun time, it was my son in laws first time cranking. He caught on quick, both at the wheel and running the poles. At one time we ran thru some white bass while he was on pole duty. Three on at once, I let him handle it saying they are all yours. He pulled up the first white bass asking what it was. I told him they can be rough most especially the dorsil fins. He heeded my advice, got them all in and off the boat.
I believe he is hooked on cranking even though we had limited action.
Just takes one time to become a cranking crappie junkie. Sounds like he is hooked.

Gill flap is the real danger with white bass. Has an edge like a razor and a point on the tip like a needle.
Crappie bite twice a day. 15 minutes before I get there and 10 minutes after I leave.
The sheep live in fear of the wolf but in the end it's the shepherd that eats them.
